Is it possible to mute the modules (Muting)?

Steps on how individual modules can be muted.

This "Muting" option is used to hide (or disable) function modules so that a single application can be used for different expansion levels (or configurations).

Muting is performed via inputs I9 to I16 of the central module or via the software.

ATTENTION

  • The muted modules must be removed from the rack.
  • Changes to the hardware and application of settings require a POWER OFF cycle.
  • The states of the logic blocks of the hidden modules will be set to logical "0" if no other selection is made.

The "Muting" function is configured in the "Parameter Tables" menu.

  • Select the module that is to be muted.

In the figure, input IN9 on the central module would mute the DSV 4 Speed Module. Muting can also be carried out via the central module's software:

  • Select the module that is to be muted.
  • Tick the "SW" box next to it.

In the figure, the RMV module would be muted. Input I9 is not required.

In some cases, it is necessary for the states of the hidden modules to remain set for further processing.

This can be defined in the "Muting Selection" section.

  • Select "Selection" (or "Choose Selection").
  • Define which elements of this module should remain set.
In the figure, input IN1 and the output of the SK2 of this module remain set.
