Address the first module in PEs via AD1-AD4 (binary code 1-14). The following modules are addressed automatically.
Address assignment via CMV inputs:
In each peripheral unit, the slot address of the first module that directly follows the CMV module is set via the binary-coded inputs AD1 to AD4 on the CMV module.
Automatic addressing of further modules:
The addresses for all further modules located in the same peripheral unit and following the first addressed module are automatically assigned consecutively by the system.
Possible address range:
Due to the binary coding of the inputs AD1 to AD4, addresses in the range from 1 to 14 can be set for the first module in a PE. Addresses 0 and 15 are not permitted for modules in peripheral units.
Examples of addressing:
- The central module (ZMV) in the base unit (BE) always has the address 0.
- The first module (e.g. FM1) after the ZMV in the BE typically has the address 1.
- In the first peripheral unit (PE1), the start address for the first module (e.g. FM1) is set to 2 via the AD inputs of the CMV.
- In the second peripheral unit (PE2), the start address for the first module (e.g. FM1) is set to 3 and so on.
