How can I reset my password?

Forgotten password for a DINA SL Vario central module can be recovered via a temporary master password.

The following procedure is necessary:

  1. Contact DINA Support: Inform DINA Support immediately by email at support@dina.de or by phone at +49 (0) 7022 95 17-1. Describe your problem.
  2. Start key generator (by DINA Support): DINA Support will then start a key generator.
  3. Generate code (in SL Vario Designer):
    • Open your project in SL Vario Designer.
    • Navigate via the tab "Project" -> "Settings" -> "Security Settings".
    • In the security settings, click the "Help" button. A window with a specific time-limited code should appear.
  4. Submit code to DINA: Submit this code to DINA Support as quickly as possible. Important: This key is only valid for 15 minutes. The device must be unlocked within this time.
  5. Receive master password: You will receive a temporary master password from DINA Support.
  6. Reset password:
    • In SL Vario Designer, go to "Project" -> "Settings" -> "Security Settings" again.
    • Enter the master password received from DINA Support in the "Current Password" field.
    • Enter your new personal password in the "New Password" field and in the "Confirm Password" field.
    • Now confirm the change with the "Change Password" button.

NOTE:
If you want to use the device without a password in the future, leave the "New Password" and "Confirm Password" fields empty. The old password will be automatically deleted by entering the master password.
A new password can also be set later in the security settings.
